Obasanjo Cautions Against Emotion During 2023 Polls, Backs Power Shift From North
Former president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has opposed the retention of the presidency in the north, after May 29, 2023.
He declared his total support for the change of leadership of the country to the south, after president Buhari leaves office in 2023.

Obasanjo spoke on the issue at the weekend, while receiving the leadership of TIV Apex Socio-Cultural Organization, MZOUGH U TIV at his penthouse residence in the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library complex in Abeokuta.
The former president in a statement by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, warns Nigerians that the 2023 polls are a turning point for the country to get things right.
He urges Nigerians not to display emotion during the polls, otherwise they may end up destroying the country.
