APC national vice chairman, Honourable Isaac Kekemeke has asked party leaders in Ogun state to halt their war of words on the state’s 2019 governorship primaries.
He directed both Governor Dapo Abiodun and his predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to stop their ongoing war of words on the disputed Ogun 2019 governorship poll.
Kekemeke, in a statement issued in Akure urged the governor and Amosun to direct their supporters to stop making public statements that will further divide the APC in Ogun state and the south west region.
Amosun started the fireworks on Friday in Abeokuta when he accused the APC of rigging the Ogun 2019 governorship poll to facilitate the election of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The governor, responding a day later, accused Amosun of playing God and said he will not allow someone suffering from delusion to distract his administration.
The APC national vice chairman said that misunderstanding and quarrels are essentially inevitable parts of life and human organizations.
He however warned both the governor and Amosun that the south west APC cannot afford such a dispute at a time when the party in the region needs to work towards the victory of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in 2023.
Kekemeke said that the south west APC under his leadership has initiated moves to ensure that the dispute in Ogun and other parts of the region are amicably resolved.
