Police Place Bounty On Arsonists Who Attack Abeokuta INEC Office
The Police have placed a N2.5 million bounty on gunmen who attacked and set fire on the Abeokuta office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), last November 10.
The arsonists attacked the office located at Iyana Mortuary in the Ogun State capital with vital electoral material, including permanent voter cards, ballot boxes and electricity generating plants destroyed.

The state police commissioner, Lanre Bankole in a statement on Monday, offered the 2.5 million reward for any useful tips that could lead to the arrest of those behind the attack.
The police chief urges members of the public with useful information to come forward, promising that the information given to the police would be treated with confidentiality.
Last week, the National Security Adviser, Retired Major General Babagana Monguno, said those behind the arson attack on the Abeokuta INEC office would be rounded off.
Since the November 10 attack, six other INEC offices in Ebonyi, Imo, Osun and Benue States had been set ablaze by arsonists.
