JAMB Says UTME High Scoring Candidate Forges Result, To Face Prosecution.
Joint Admission Matriculation Board ( JAMB ) has said the best candidate in its 2023/2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination ( UTME ), Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, forged her results.
With the discovery, JAMB says it would investigate all UTME candidates who had been claiming highest scores in in its UTME.
The board accused her of using a software package to inflate her scores in the examination from 249 to 362.
JAMB spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in a statement said the manipulated results and her original UTME results had been withdrawn.
The candidate would also be prosecuted, according to him.

According to JAMB, the candidate, following the publicity she received, had secured from members of the public, including a businessman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, who offered her N3 million in scholarship.
Also, the girl had been honoured by the Anambra State Government.
Meanwhile, JAMB says it has also discovered that on Atung Gerala from Kaduna state who claimed to have scored the highest score of 380 in the 2023/2024 UTME never applied nor wrote the examination.
