Tinubu Asks Nigerians To Have Faith In God In Fresh Move To Stabilize Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has asked Nigerians to have faith in God to restore peace, stability and prosperity to the country.

Tinubu made the call, while speaking to newsmen after worshiping at the Obalende Eid praying ground, at the Dodan Barracks, as part of Eid el Kabir celebration.

According to the president, there is the need for unity, and co-operation among Nigerians to move the country forward.

He also urged Nigerians to pray for troops on the front-line against bandits and insurgents, to be victorious in their campaign.

In his sermon, the chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Suleiman Abu Nolah, prayed for the continued peace, progress and stability of the country.

Speaking on behalf of Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the deputy governor, Obafemi Hamzat, felicitated with Muslims across the country and in the state for the joy of Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to unite behind President Tinubu in his determination to make the nation better.

“It is our duty to pray for our leaders. We must pray for our President, that God should help him to succeed in the task before him,” Hamzat said.

The prayer was attended by Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former governor of Lagos State and immediate past Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, and other top government officials and politicians.
