NDLEA Seizes 1,146.7 Kilograms of Cannabis, Other Drugs within Three Months in Ogun

A total of 1,146.732 kilograms of Marijuana were seized in Ogun state, by Anti-Narcotic Operatives in the first three months of this year.

Huge quantities of drugs seized included Methamphetamine, Skuches, Rohypnol, Codeine, Cocaine, Heroin, Tramadol, Diazepam and Molly were also seized in the state, during the period.

The state commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mrs. Ibibia Odili, who rolled out the figure, while appearing on a Rockcity program: ‘daybreak show’, said illicit drug use and trafficking in the state is very worrisome.

According to the breakdown, NDLEA in January recovered 576.95 kilogram of Cocaine, as well as Methamphetamine (74.9 grams), Skuches (15 liters), Rohypnol (2,813 tablets), Codeine (64 bottles), Tramadol (1,864 tablets), Diazepam (655.8 grams) and Molly (38 grams).

In February, NDLEA also seized in the state, 284.032 kilograms of Cannabis; 18.9 grams of Methamphetamine; six liters of Skuches; 119 tablets of Rohypnol and 302 tablets of Codeine.

Also in February, NDLEA seized 3,489 tablets of Tramadol, 57 tablets of Diazepam and 78 tablets of Molly.

In March, 285.8 kilograms of cannabis, 2.5 grams of Methamphetamine, and 11.5 grams of Cocaine, two grams of heroin and five kilograms of Skuches were seized.

Also in March, NDLEA seized in the state, 118 bottles of Codeine, 1,911 tablets of Tramadol, 322 tablets of Rohypnol, 22,566 tablets of Diazepam and 48 tablets of Molly.
