Defense Headquarters Allays Fear Of Security Threat To May 29 Hand Over
Defense Headquarters (DHq) has assured Nigerians of a hitch-free inauguration of a new president on May 29.
The high military command asks Nigerians not to be afraid of any security threat on or before May 29.
Director of media operations of dhq, Major General Musa Danmadamu, gave the assurance on Thursday, during a news briefing at the defence headquarters in Abuja.
He said that military was working with the police and the intelligence community to tackle any security threat to the transition of power as scheduled.

Earlier, the Department of State Service (DSS) had announced a plot by some elements to install an interim national government, to forestall the handing over of power on may 29 to president elect Bola Tinubu.
But the outgoing president, Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his commitment to leaving office on may 29.
