Unspecified Number Of Traders Drown In Capsized Speed Boat In Niger

Unspecified numbers of traders have been feared drowned in a speed boat which capsized on River Niger in Kogi state.

The boat capsized after crashing into a tree in the middle of the river on Sunday night.

It was conveying 47 traders returning from Bagana market in Omaila local government area when the tragic incident occurred.

All the passengers were feared dead. Some bodies of those drowned have been recovered from the river by local divers, while search continues for the bodies of other traders.
