High Tension Cable Snaps In Kaduna, Kills Eleven, Injures Others

Eleven persons have been electrocuted to death, while others were injured by high tension electricity cable at Zaria in Kaduna State.

The high tension cable snapped and fell on a low tension cable, causing power supply out of limit.

The tragic incident in the early hours of Wednesday set houses and business offices ablaze.

A community leader, Alhaji Aliyu Bature told newsmen that the fire affected houses in several areas, including police barracks, new layout, Unguwar and Mayer Aliyu.

Spokesman of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Abdulazeez Abdullahi confirmed that the electrocution was caused by the snapping of high tension cable.
