13 Persons Sustains Injuries in a Multiple Auto Crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Thirteen persons have sustained injuries in a multiple auto crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The accident occurred at 4.55 am on Sunday, at car park ’C’ at Mowe axis of the expressway in Ogun State.

Vehicles involved in the accident included three trucks marked KBT 205 XB, KJA 230 Y, and DUT 35 XE.

Other vehicles in the crash were a car marked MUS 793 HM and a bus marked FG 369 F20.

Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Chief Route Commander Florence Okpeh, blamed the accident on speeding and obstruction by the motorists.

She explained that these factors resulted in the vehicles losing control.

The FRSC image maker stated that no lives were lost in the crash.

Okpe clarified that the incident occurred at 4:55 am, attributing it to speeding and involving five vehicles and 22 people.

The FRSC spokesperson mentioned that the injured victims received medical attention at Famobis Hospital Mowe.

She relayed State Sector Commander Anthony Uga’s advice to motorists, urging them to always exercise caution while driving and to drive defensively.
