PDP Says It Is Rebuilding Ogun State Chapter, Ahead Of the 2027 Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is rebuilding its Ogun state chapter, after its loss in the 2023 governorship poll.

The state’s major opposition political party also says it has learnt its lessons, and would avoid a fresh crisis in the party, ahead of the 2027 governorship poll.

The party’s secretary, Dr. Sunday Solarin stated this while appearing on a Rockcity FM Program: ‘citizens forum’ on Monday.

Solarin said the state PDP is now free of political merchants being used by other political parties to cause confusion within its rank.

He cited the case of almost 90 per cent of the state PDP members who got elected to various political offices, and had defected to the ruling party in the state.

The secretary says the nucleus members of the party now are youths who are committed to rebuilding the PDP to win the 2027 governorship poll.
