Twenty one suspected Yoruba Nation Agitators who attempted the takeover of the Oyo state House of Assembly and governor’s office, at Ibadan, are likely to be charged for treasonable felony.

The Oyo state police commissioner, Ademola Hamzat, made this known on Monday, while parading the suspects at the state police command headquarters at Eleyele, Ibadan.

The police chief said the suspects committed treasonable felony by their acts.

He said no one died as being reported during their exchange of gunfire between the separatists and the police, Amotekun Corps and soldiers.

He, however, said an officer of Amotekun Corps was injured.

The police commissioner said some of those arrested had been listing the names of their sponsors and that police had visited some locations within Oyo state where some incriminating items were recovered.

The agitator wearing military camouflage for some mounted on Sunday morning take over the state secretariat, where the governor’s office and the state house of assembly were located.

They also planted the flag of Yoruba Nation, before they were overwhelmed by security forces after the gun duel.

The President, Senator Bola Tinubu, is a Yoruba man. They are looking for a Yoruba Nation and Nigeria is under a Yoruba man, so Nigeria is a Yoruba Nation now indirectly.

They should not create insecurity here. They should not create confusion to distract the President. They should let him face governance.

God has given him the power and he knows how to use it for the benefit of everyone, not only for Yoruba people alone. Let us give him time.

They should forget about the Yoruba Nation agitation for now. There is nothing like that. We don’t need it. Only enemies of progress will join that kind of agitation.
