Ogun Inaugurates a 12-member Committee to Drive Investments into the State
The Ogun State government has inaugurated a 12-member committee of the Ogun State Investment Ambassadors Network to fast-track more investments into the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun said the ambassadors are expected to create a robust and seamless working relationship between his administration and investors.
Abiodun stated this during the inauguration and orientation course for the ambassadors at the Ogun Investment Office in Isheri.
He explained that the ambassadors would be responsible for educating investors on how to harness the opportunities that abound and what they stand to gain by investing in Ogun State.
The governor, represented by Finance Commissioner Dapo Okubadejo, said the government would, regularly, carry out evaluations on them through private organizations transacting businesses with the state.
He promised that those who performed well would be compensated accordingly.

The Trade, Industry, and Investments Commissioner, Adebola Sofela, described the ambassadors as a link between the government and investors.
Also, budget and planning commissioner Oladimeji Olabimtan hopes that they will create a turning point in the investment atmosphere of the state.
The 12 ambassadors inaugurated included Consultant, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Mr Fatai Adeboyejo; Deputy Surveyor-General, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Halimat Yusuf; Director, Physical Planning, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, TPL. Felicia Aleburu and Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Physical Planning and Urban Development TPL. Jolaoluwa Olugbemisola.
Others were the Director, of Planning, Research and Statistics, Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Suraj Fashola; the Director of Land Acquisition, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Mr. Anifowose Olatunji and the Director of Commercial Services, Ministry of Justice, Mr Olumuyiwa Ogunsanwo.
