Four Killed, 11 Others Injured In Autocrash On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Four passengers have died in a ghastly autocrash in Ogun State, on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Eleven others sustained injuries in the accident recorded on Sunday morning at Ayetoro axis of the expressway.

Spokesman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE), commander Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirming the accident said it was a lone crash of a commercial bus.

The bus marked AGL989YA, was heading from Ibadan to Lagos when it crashed.

According to him, the bus had a tyre burst and somersaulted into a ditch.

Meanwhile:

A school building, housing ten classrooms, have collapsed at Agbado axis of Ifo local government area of Ogun State.

The one storey building at Agabdo district comprehensive high school, after a heavy rainfall on saturday afternoon.

The building was donated by Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello as her constituency project while representing Ogun Senatorial District in the senate between 2007 and 2011.

Residents said the building was never put to use by the Amosun and Abiodun admnistration, and its condition had been deteriorating.

A resident said the collapse of the building was long expected.

President of the Agbado district students association, Ganiyu Olowu, said the state of the building was reported to the state ministry education before the collapse on Saturday.
