Final Year UNIPORT Student Dies of Suspected Overdose of Illicit Substance

A final year student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has died of suspected overdose of illicit substance believed to be Colorado.

The student was said to have died after smoking the substance along with some of his colleagues.

Two other students regained consciousness after they were rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

The late student was confirmed dead after he was rushed to a hospital.

The university’s spokesman, Dr. Sammy Kpenu, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

He explained that the incident occurred outside the campus of the university.

The spokesman said the student who gave the drug has been arrested by the police.

At the time of filing this report the Rivers State Police Command has not reacted to the incident.
