Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has faulted the zoning formula adopted by the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Working Committee for the party’s nominees for the leadership of the tenth National Assembly.

The governor in a statement faulted the zoning two of the four of the National Assembly’s leadership positions to the north west region.

He warned that the zoning formula if not changed would be a weapon for the opposition political parties, and pave the ground for mistrust and needless suspicion in the tenth National Assembly.

He expressed concern that governors and all the aspirants for the speakership slots were not consulted before the National Working Committee announced the zoning formula.
