Adebutu Says No More Litigation Against Ogun PDP On Disputed Primaries

The Ogun State PDP governorship candidate, Honorable Ladi Adebutu has clarified that all litigations against him and the party have been cleared.

Adebutu said the lingering application of the party’s governorship aspirant, Otunba Segun Sowunmi was nota pre-election matter and may not be attended to by the supreme court for the next five years.

According to the PDP candidate, Sowunmi’s application was against the state executive committee, which did not participate in the promaries, and not the state PDP.

Adebutu making the clarification while appearing on a RockCity FM programme: ”DayBreak Show” on Tuesday in Abeokuta, accused Sowunmi of working for the APC to keep the PDP out of the 2023 governorship poll.

He alleged that Sowunmi and two other PDP chieftains also worked for the APC to prevent the PDP from presenting candidates from the last local government poll in the state

Meanwhile, the Ogun state PDP governorship candidate has promised to stop borrowing from the capital market to finance capital projects in the state

Adebutu alleged that the Abiodun admnistration had borrowed more than the daniel and Amosun admnistrations combined.

If elected, the PDP candidate said he would opt for public partnership programme to finance public infrastructure project which would be tolled.

According to Adebutu, percentage of the toll collected by the concessionaire would be used to provide basic amenities.

He also promised to set up the border area commission which would handle the delineation of Ogun State’s boundaries with Lagos State, and to give special attention to the communities at the state’s borders in order to give them a sense of belonging to the state.
