Buhari Said He Hardly Miss Anything since He Left Office

Former President Buhari has said he hardly miss anything since he left office.

Buhari stated this in an interview with the Nigeria Television Authority (9NTA) posted on his X (formally Twitter) handle on Sunday.

When asked what he missed from his eight years in office, he said he did not missed much.

On his sickness in office, Buhari said only his daughter could honestly answer the question.

Buhari was ill between 2015 and 2024 while in office, spending 171 days on medical vacation in a London Hospital.

Months before handing over power, Buhari said he would not miss his time as President of Nigeria because his best was not good enough for Nigerians.

I believe I’m giving my best, but I still find it insufficient. I wonder if I’ll miss out on much. I feel harassed, he remarked.

The full-length interview, marking Buhari’s first since he left office on May 29, 2023, will air at 10:30 pm on Monday.

In his last days in office, Buhari had said he couldn’t wait to return to Daura to tend his cows and sheep, adding that his cows and sheep are much easier to control than fellow Nigerians.

I am looking forward to tomorrow (Monday) to fly to my base and go back to my cows and sheep, which are much easier to control than fellow Nigerians, he said.
