ADC Kicks Off Governorship Campaign In Ogun State

African Democratic Congress (ADC) has kicked off its governorship campaign in Ogun State, with a former governor Ibikunle Amosun in attendance.

Amosun, an All Progressive Congress (APC) senator, appeared at the flag off of the governorship campaign rally of ADC held at the Ake Palace Ground, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Wednesday February 1.

He arrived the campaign venue at about 1.45 pm to a thunderous applause by ADC supporters.

Amosun since last year had repeatedly said that his preferred governorship candidate in March 11 governorship poll is Barrister Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The former governor, however, had been canvassing for the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He vowed to stop the re-election of governor Abiodun, the governorship candidate of his party.

Amosun in line with his vow had not attended any All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign rally in Ogun State, and was absent from the APC presidential rally held recently in Abeokuta.

Last week, Amosun also hosted leaders of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) at his Ibara GRA home in Abeokuta.
