Yayi Asks the Army to Fish out Soldiers, Who Kill His Aide at Lagos Checkpoint

Senator Solomon Adeola has alleged that a group of soldiers were responsible for one of aides killed at a security checkpoint at Ojodu-Berger axis in Lagos.

He said the soldiers after killing his aide, Adeniji Sanni, last August 5, at the checkpoint, dumped his bullet riddled body at a place near Oshodi.

The senator said the car which his aide drove to the checkpoint on his way home, was yet to be returned by the soldiers who allegedly killed him.

Adeola in a statement he issued in Abuja, said his allegation was based on a police report that he was killed by a group of soldiers from the nine army brigade in Ikeja

The senator alleged that the soldiers who had been robbing and killing lone occupants of cars at the road block also killed another motorist same day his aide was killed and his body taken to Iyana Ipaja.

He asks the army chief of staff, lieutenant general Taored Lagbaja, to order the nine army brigade cantonment to produce the soldiers who mounted the roadblock.
