Ministers Resume at Duty Posts after Inauguration on Monday

The newly inaugurated ministers have reported at their various ministries.

President Tinubu inaugurated the 45 ministers-designate on Monday, to kick-start his cabinet on the task of repositioning Nigeria.

Tinubu told them that they are ministers of the federal republic of Nigeria, and not ministers of particular states, colony or ethnic nationality.

According to the president, most of Nigerians are highly expectant, and that he would hold them accountable, on the promised renewed hope agenda of his administration

The Tinubu explained that their selection was based on personal experience to continue the nation building as his administration was hell bent on actualizing its renews hope agenda.

Meanwhile, the minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has read a riot act to owners of illegal structures which violated the Abuja masterplan.

Wike on assuming office on Monday in Abuja, vowed that such building would be demolished.

Wike, who reported at his duty post, immediately after his inauguration, said the threat was not targeted at anybody, but warned he would step on toes in reclaiming land from speculators and illegal property developers.

The former rivers state governor threatened to demolish all houses on where they should not be, and those in areas designated as the green areas.

He also said such houses, would be pulled down, irrespective of the status of their owners,  in a move to restore the green area of Abuja and its parks.

Wike also told land allottees who have been given certificates of occupancy, but failed to develop them that they would lose their lands to give way to those ready to build.

Also, the minister said his administration would go tough against those owing ground rent on their structures.
