Dapo orders Distribution of N1 Billion Grant to small Businesses Operators in Ogun

Ogun State Government says it is about to begin the disbursement of the second phase of the N1 billion grant to Micro- Small Businesses across the state.

The grant aims at alleviating poverty and mitigate the impact of Covid 19 on businesses in the state.

The grant is for the payment of utilities such as: water, electricity, internet service subscription, rent for office, shop, and cold room rent, as well as, payment of salaries whose evidence must be provided.

Industry, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Adebola Sofela, who announced this in a statement said Governor Dapo Abiodun ordered the immediate disbursement of the second phase of the grant.

The Commissioner said that a stakeholder’s engagement session for legitimate businesses owners in the Ogun Central Senatorial District would hold on Tuesday at the Oba Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

He said the date for the stakeholder’s engagement in other senatorial districts at a later date.

Entrepreneurs qualified to apply for the grants include those in Retail, Fashion, Hair & Beauty, Light Manufacturing, Hospitality and other Micro-Small Businesses.

N120 million grant was given out to 1,000 micro and small entrepreneurs in the first phase of the grant across the 20 local government areas of the state.
