Federal Government has approved 14 working day paternity leave for male civil servants in the Federal Civil Service, whose wives just delivered babies.

According to a circular issued by head of service of the federation, the implementation of the new policy began last November 25.

According to the circular, the paternity leave can be granted not more than once in two years, for a maximum of four children.

Federal Executive Council last September approved the introduction of the leave to strengthen the bond between male civil servants and their newly born babies.
