Vice President Backs Kinetic Approach to End Insecurity in the South East Region

Vice President Kashim Shettima has backed a political solution Kinetic Approach to the insecurity in the South East Region.

At the moment, military and legal options were being adopted by both the Federal Government and pro-Biafra groups battling for control of the region.

But the vice president said a kinetic approach should be explored and deployed because most atrocious wars at the end of the day were resolved on the negotiating table.

He stated this while receiving the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, who led a delegation under the auspices of the Peace in the Southeast project at the Presidential Villa.

The delegation under the auspices of the Peace in South East Project (PISE-p) visited him to present the initiative and invited him to the launch of the project that proposes a non-kinetic solution to the crisis in the southeast region.

He approved the kinetic initiative proposed by the delegation, saying it was the best approach to the endless war attrition in the South East Region.

According to the Vice President, the approach would facilitate a handshake, build bridges, and capture those who are yet to be radicalized.
