Two die in Auto Crash Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Two persons have died in an auto crash along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Six others were injured in the crash, involving a Toyota HiAce bus marked AZA 607 XT, which occurred at around 2:21 A.M. on Tuesday.

Spokesperson of the state command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Chief Route Commander Florence Okpeh blamed the crash on excessive speed.

She said this led to the loss of control of the vehicle by the driver.

The state sector commander, Anthony Ugah, advised motorists in the state to obey simple traffic regulations, and drive within the stipulated speed limit to stay safe.

She said the lone accident involved a Toyota bus carrying eight passengers.

Okpe blamed the accident on overspeeding, saying the driver lost control of the vehicle before the accident happened.

The vehicle crashed on the road barrier due to speeding and loss of control.

The injured victims were taken to a hospital at Mowe in Ogun while the deceaseds’ have been deposited in its morgue she said.
