Soludo Announces Payrise, N15,000 Christmas Bonus For Anambra Workers

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has announced a ten percent payrise for the state’s civil servants, ahead of Christmas and New Year celebration.

The governor also announced a N15,000 cash bonus for every civil servants on the state government’s payroll to enjoy the Yuletide season.

Soludo announced the package on Tuesday at the 2022 public service day held in Awka, the state capital.

He explained that N15,000 bonus replaced the 20 kilogramme of rice usually given to each civil servants during the Yuletide season.

The governor said his administration could not do much for the civil servants because revenue coming into government’s coffer is shrinking.
