Ritualists Kill Missing OAU Student, Dismember His Body for Money Ritual in Abeokuta

The decomposing body parts of an 18-year-old 100 level male student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Quadri Salami, have been unearthed in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Police say two suspects, Akeem Usman and Ifedawo Niyi, now in their custody, had allegedly confessed killing the student for money ritual purpose.

The body of the student was discovered by the police buried in a shallow grave by a police team led by the State Police Commissioner, Abiodun Alamutu in a forest, on Wednesday at Mile Six, Ajemo Axis of the city.

The vital parts of the body of the boy after he was slaughtered was dismembered.

Police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said the parents of the student reported to the Kemta police station last November 14, when he failed to return home.

One of the suspects, Akeem, who was arrested with parts of the body of the missing student, led the police detectives to Ifedayo.

According to Odutola, Akeem implicated Ifedayo for slaughtering the boy, went away with his head and two wrists, after paying N100,000 into his bank account.

Moreover, Akeem said they later sold other parts of the body on demand to some internet fraudsters for money rituals.

Additionally, other parts of the body left, including the heart, two legs, and flesh, were packed in a plastic rubber and buried for money ritual.

Currently, the suspects are undergoing interrogation at the state criminal investigation department at Eleweran, Abeokuta.
