Ogun Takes Delivery Of Drones To Monitor Crime Prone Axis Of The State

Ogun State Government says it has taken delivery of the drones it ordered, for an aerial surveillance and as well monitor crime prone areas to rid the state of kidnappers and other criminal elements.

The drones, which would soon be launched are to be deployed to assist security agencies in monitoring the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and other major corridors in the state.

Governor Dapo Abiodun announced this on Thursday, while receiving the new State Police Commissioner, Frank Mba and the commander of the thirty fifth artillery Brigade, Alamala, Brigadier Mohammed Aminu, in his office at the governor’s office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

He explained that the drones would assist security agencies to be proactive and sight criminal elements before they perperate crimes in the state.

According to the governor, Ogun and Oyo State Government have set up a joint security points on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway to fight kidnapping and other crimes.

Abiodun said the state is prone to kidnapping and other crimes because it hosts the highest number of major roads.
