Ogun Bids For 2024 National Sports Festival

Ogun State has bidded to host the Twenty Second  National Sports Festival for 2024. The State Youth and Sports Commissioner, Doctor Oluwadare Kehinde,announced this in an interview on the sideline of the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba.

He said the state has the capacity to  host the festival, because it had successfully hosted one in the past.

The Commissioner said that Ogun State Government has indicated interest to the Federal Ministry of Sport, which had sent its assessment team to the State.

According to Kehinde, the Assessment Team was conducted round sporting facilities in the State, while a Technical Team including Former International, Falilat Ogunkoya had been setup.

Meanwhile, Ogun State was second on the Medal Table on the Sixth Day of the festival with 25 Medals, including 10 Gold, six Silver and nine Bronze.
