NECO Releases Results of 2023 Internal SSCE Exam, Blacklists 93 Schools

National Examination Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2023 Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE).

A record of 61.60 per cent of the candidates who wrote the examination scored credits in five subjects, including English language and Mathematics, and above.

The results was an improvement over 60.74 percent recorded in the 2022 SSCE.

The examination body’s registrar, Professor Dantani Wushishi, announcing the results in Minna, said N1,013,611 or 84.5 per cent of the candidates got five credits.

According to him, a total of 1,196,985 candidates, including 580,587 females wrote the examination.

Professor Wushisi also said that 93 schools were recommended for blacklisting for mass cheating in the examination.

Also, 52 supervisors were indicted for poor supervision, aiding and abetting cheating at the examination which they supervised.

“At this juncture, ladies and gentlemen, I wish to formally declare that the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination Internal results are hereby released to the public.

By this release, candidates can now access their results on NECO website: www.neco.gov.ng, using their examination registration numbers.”
