Ladi Adebutu Says President Tinubu Transcends Political Affiliations

Ogun state PDP governorship candidate in the march 18, 2023, polls, Honorable Ladi Adebutu, has said that President Tinubu belongs to all political parties.

He accused the APC of intimidating opposition parties in the state on the basis that they had the support of President Tinubu.

Adebutu said Tinubu belongs to all Nigerians, and no political party could claim him.

The politician spoke during the PDP end of the year party held at the party’s state secretariat in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Also, the PDP state secretary, Dr. Sunday Solarin said his party was confident of victory in its petition at the supreme court challenging the outcome of the last governorship poll.

Solarin explained that the party approached the apex court because of its conviction that the judgements of the state poll petition tribunal and the appeal court would be corrected.

According to him, the tribunal and the appeal court based their judgement on technicalities, while the Supreme Court would consider the PDP appeal based on evidence.

The Secretary of the party, Sunday Solarin, corroborated Adebutu, saying the PDP is too big a party to be intimidated by the APC.

The party scribe noted that the ruling party had been hostile toward the PDP because of the party’s matter before the Supreme Court.

Solarin was, however, optimistic of victory noting that,The party actually won the election and that is why we are still in court and we believe quite well that the Supreme Court will set the records straight because it is a court of policy and there are a lot of policy errors we think should have given us favourable judgement at the lower courts, but we know that we are going to get the victory at the Supreme Court.
