Labour Party Sacks Its Ogun Exco And Suspends Abayomi Arabambi
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party has suspended its state executive committee (EXCO) in Ogun State for anti-party activities.
The National Working Committee says it will set up a caretaker committee to take over the running of the party in the state.
The National Secretary of the party Umar Ibrahim announced this to newsmen on Friday, at the end of the meeting of the NWC in Abuja.
According to him, the Ogun State EXCO was suspended for ignoring a summon by the National Working Committee, over its allegations against the Director General of the Obi-Datti presidential campaign council, Doyin Okupe.

He also announced the suspension of the acting National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, saying all his allegations against the National Working Committee were unsubstantiated.
The National Scribe said that a disciplinary panel would be constituted to investigate the Ogun State EXCO and Arabambi. The crisis in Ogun State chapter had engulfed the national leadership with Arabambi claiming to have instituted cases against the national working committee.
Arabambi who led a faction of Ogun State also accused the party leadership of forging the signatures of an appeal court judge to process applications of Lagos state candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
