Gunmen Abduct Two Persons in Imeko Afon Axis in Fresh Kidnapping in Ogun

Again, armed kidnappers have abducted two persons, a woman and a commercial motorcyclist rider, in Ogun state, close to its border with Oyo state.

They were abducted in the Imeko Afon Local Government Area.

The incident was reported to the Imeko Afon divisional police headquarters.

Spokesperson of the state police command, Omolola Odutola, identified the abducted woman as Nusirat.

She said they were abducted on Monday afternoon, while returning from Ijio Iwere Ile in the neighboring Oyo state.

Meanwhile, operatives of the police, Amotekun Corps, So Safe Corps, and Vigilante, joined by the forest guards and hunters, have been combing the forests in the axis, to rescue the kidnapped persons.

The abduction is coming days after gunmen abducted a secondary school teacher at Alabata, near Abeokuta.

The Commissioner of Police has been briefed and other security formations have been alerted. There is no cause for fear, as material resources and all external security measures have been activated to guarantee that the victims are released safely.

Less than two weeks ago, one Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola were abducted at the Celestial Church of Christ, Oriyarin Parish, Mowe in Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of the state,

While the police said that Seyifunmi had regained his freedom, Abiola is still in the den of the abductors.

Tunde Osifowokan, farm manager at Flourishing Poultry Farm, Idowa in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state was alao abducted last month when some gunmen invaded the community.
