El-Rufai, Edun, Fagbemi, Wike, Umahi On Ministerial List To The Senate

The Senate has at last received a list of ministerial nominees from President Bola Tinubu for consideration and approval.

Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, submitted the list to the senate on Thursday.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the ministerial list to senators during the Thursday plenary in a closed session.

On the list are Tinubu’s lead counsel at the Presidential Poll tTunal, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, Dele Alake, former Governor Dave Umahi, Olawale Edun, Waheed Adelabu, Dr Beta Edu, former governors Nasir El-Rufai and Nyesom Wike.

Also on the list are Hanatu Musawa. Prof Ali Pate, Maman Dangiwa, Chief Uche Nnaji, Mohammed Idris,  Dr Doris Uzoka, Nkiru Onyejeocha, Ekperioe Ekpo, Badaru Abubakar, Stella Okerete, and Abubakar Kyarri.

Others on the ministerial list are Uju Ohaneye, Abubaka R Momodu, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama, Olubunmi Ojo, Bello Mohammed, Prof u. Joseph; Senator John Owan-Enoh; and Senator Abubakar Danlami/

From the analysis of the ministerial list, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Gombe, Kano, Kebbi, Kogi, Plateau, Lagos, Osun, Yobe, and Zamfara are yet to have nominees.

Tinubu is expected to pick nominees in line with the provisions of the constitution from the nine states in a supplementary ministerial list to be sent to the senate.
