Court Reinstates Adebutu, Other Ogun PDP Candidates For 2023 Polls
An Appeal Court, sitting in Ibadan, has reinstated Honorable Ladi Adebutu as the Ogun State PDP governorship candidate for the 2023 polls.
The court also reinstated other PDP candidates for the poll. It directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to reinstate all the Ogun State PDP candidates for the 2023 poll.
Justice Folashade Ojo on Monday, sets aside the September 27 judgement of a Federal High Court, Abeokuta, which cancelled all the primaries that produced Adebutu and other PDP candidates in the state.

Justice Ojo, ruled that only the National Working Committee of political parties are vested with powers to conduct primaries for the election of candidates.
Justice Ojo faulted the Federal High Court, Abeokuta for entertaining the suit filed by Segun Seriki and his faction, to challenge the outcome of the PDP primaries which elected Adebutu and other candidates.
Justice Oluwatoyin Oguntoyinbo in her September 27 judgement, had ordered a re-run of the Ogun State PDP primaries within 14 days with the results of the congress monitored by INEC.
