Ogun state PDP has described a governorship aspirant, Honorable Ladi Adebutu, as the pillar of the party in the state.
The party’s state chairman, Sikirulahhi Ogundele said that Ladi Adebutu had been a major financier of the party for a long time in the state.
Ogundele spoke in an interview with a Rockcity FM correspondent, Tobi Ojeleye, in the wake of a protest by some PDP supporters in Abeokuta on Tuesday against the alleged manipulation of the party’s delegate election’s results in favour of Adebutu.

The PDP chairman also dismissed reports that supporters of Adebutu are defecting to the camp of Otunba Jimi Lawal, another PDP governorship aspirant.
He assured a conducive atmosphere for all aspirants seeking tickets for the 2023 polls.
On the last Tuesday’s protests at the party’s secretariat, Ogundele said members are free to express their grievances, adding that those who felt they had lost out in the political game would feel the pain.
Ogundele said the party’s executive committee would address their grievances and those of others, to ensure that PDP in the state goes into the 2023 poll as a united family.
