Court Orders Ondo Assembly to Probe Health Condition of Governor Akeredolu

Ondo State High Court in Akure, has ordered the State House of Assembly to investigate the health condition of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

It directed the assembly to set up a medical panel to investigate the Governor and provide a report in line with section 189, sub section 4 of the Nigerian constitution.

Justice A. Kolawole gave the order on Wednesday, while ruling on the application filed by a coalition of civil society groups.

The groups want the court to compel the house of assembly to investigate the health of the governor, to uphold the public trust and transparency in elected officials.
