Chief Of Defense Staff Warns Those Asking Military to Seize Power, Says Security Will Come After Them

Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa has warned those advocating for a military takeover of power, amidst the rising challenges facing the country.

He revealed that the military has been under pressure from certain quarters to take overpower from the elected politicians in the country.

The general warned the advocates of Military Coup Det’at to be careful, because security operatives would come after them.

Musa spoke on the issue on Thursday, in Port Harcourt, while speaking on the sideline of the inauguration of the main entrance of the army division six and officers’ transit accommodation at the divisional headquarters.

He described those asking the military to take over as the enemies of Nigeria, assuring that the military would control to defend democracy.

General Musa said although there are challenges in the country, military would not intervene because Nigeria has been developing under democracy than military rule.

He said what the country needs now is for the people to be patient and support the Tinubu administration to succeed and put enemies to shame.

The commissioner also quoted Governor Uba Sani to have been excited over the development which he described as a pointer to the bravery and professionalism of the troops involved.

The governor commended the commanding officer Okoro for his stellar leadership and praised the troops for their assertive victory.

Governor Sani went on to assure security forces in Kaduna State of his unflinching support and readiness to sustain cooperation, towards the successful achievement of their objectives, Aruwan said.
