Scores of people have been feared dead after the bomb was dropped from the air in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

More than 30 were believed to have died and several others were injured in the ensuing explosion.

The Nigerian army has owned up for the attack, initially blamed on the Nigeria Airforce Jet.

The bomb was dropped on Tudun Biri Village on Sunday night, while some of the residents were celebrating the Mau loud festival.

Reacting to the incident, the Airforce dismissed claims that its warplanes dropped bombs that killed people in the village.
