AIG Durosinmi Posted to Zone Two Command Covering Ogun and Lagos States
A new Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Olatoye A. Durosinmi has been posted to the police zone two command, comprising Ogun and Lagos states.
AIG Durosinmi succeeds AIG Ari Mohammed Ali, who had been redeployed as DIG in charge of community policing at the force headquarters, in Abuja.
Durosinmi, according to the zonal spokesperson, Tuni Ayuba, assumed duty at the zone two command headquarters, Onikan, Lagos on Tuesday.
The new zonal AIG hails from Ayetoro in Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun state. He was born on August 19, 1964.
He hails from Ayetoro in the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Durosinmi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology/Anthropology from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, LLB (Hons) from Delta State University, Abraka, BL from Nigerian Law School, Abuja, LLM from Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos, and a PhD – in view Imo State University.
He was appointed to the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Course 16 in the year 1990.
The AIG has served in various capacities across the country, such as the DPO Lion Building Division, DPO Ebute-Ero Division, pioneer DPO Layeni Division, DPO Isheri Division, the pioneer DCP State CID Kebbi State, pioneer DCP FSWAT, Lagos, Delta, and Kwara State, to mention but a few.
He is a vastly experienced police officer who has attended several courses both at home and abroad, and his posting is aimed at achieving the IGP’s vision statement for “emplacing a modern police force that is professional, secure, and rule of law compliant” from his wealth of experience.
