Four Killed In Attack On NDLEA Office

Gunmen have carried out an attack on the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) office in Ebonyi state.

Four persons died while the attack was being repelled shortly after Monday midnight at Ishielu local government area.

Those killed in the attack included two of the gunmen, as well as an NDLEA officer and a patient in the agency’s rehabilitation centre.

Spokesman of the state police command, Loveth Odeh, said security forces are still searching forests in the area in search of the escaping gunmen who were critically injured while the attack on the NDLEA office was being repelled.

She listed items captured from the fleeing gunmen as including two rifles, 140 rounds of k2 ammunition, 36 round of general purpose machine gun, and 30 rounds of ak-47 ammunition.

Other captured items are a jeep, police and military uniforms, as well as charms.
