National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has destroyed 1.8 tonnes of cocaine it uncovered in a warehouse last week at Ikorodu axis of Lagos.

The cocaine, whose street value was placed at N194.7 billion, was found in the warehouse located at Solebo estate in the town.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi said that the agency obtained an order of a Federal High Court in Lagos for the public destruction of the seized cocaine.

NDLEA Director of prosecution, Sunday Joseph, says that out of the seized cocaine, 1,825 blocks was crushed and destroyed, while the remnant would be used for the prosecution of the five persons arrested in connection with the drug.
