Emir Says Nigeria Needs Benevolent Leader To Move Forward

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has said that Nigeria needs a benevolent dictator.

According to the traditional ruler, it is only a benevolent dictator who could move Nigeria forward.

The Emir stated this, while speaking on the sideline of the visit of a delegation of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) officials, to his palace in Ilorin on Monday.

He said that Nigeria lacks good leadership, despite its high rating in the global community.

The Emir said the only time that Nigeria had good leadership, was during the six month military regime of late General Murtala Mohammed, who was assassinated.

The monarch, however prayed that the country would not collapse with the current challenges it was facing.
