109 Senators Will Donate Their One-Month Salaries to the Victims of the Drone Attack
109 Senators in the National Assembly have resolved to donate their one-month salaries to the victims of last Sunday’s army’s mistaken drone attack on Tudun Biri Village in Kaduna State.
More than 80 people died, and scores of others were injured in the drone attacks.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced this during a condolence visit to Governor Uba Sani at the Government House, Kaduna on Sunday.
Akpabio, represented by his deputy, Jibrin Barau, said the salaries amounting to N106 million would be handed over to the Governor on behalf of the senators to the victims of the bombing.
He promised that the senate would work with President Tinubu, to know the remote causes of the mistaken bomb attack.
Governor Sani while receiving the senators alleged that the security agencies in Nigeria were not working on the same page.

This was announced on Sunday by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin at the Kaduna Government House when he led a high-powered delegation of the Senate to the state. (https://www.adarsus.com/)
The Senators were received by the state governor, Senator Uba Sani.
In a statement by his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau said that the money would be sent to the state governor for onward delivery to the victims.
The governor thanked the senators for the donation pf their December Salaries.
The Senate delegation comprising the Senate leader, Senator Micheal Opayemi Bamidele; the Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume; Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro; Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Olarere; Senator Abdulhamid Malam-Madori; Senator Aliyu Ikra Bilbis; Senator Ibrahim Bomoi; Senator Ibrahim Lamido; Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua; Senator Victor Umeh; Senator Muntari Dandutse; Senator Lawal Usman; and Senator Emmanuel Udende, were also at the Barau Dikko Hospital to visit the victims.
