President Bola Tinubu, has directed the removal of all restrictions on the proposed students’ loan to make it available to any student or household that may desire it.

Tinubu said the new directive was in line with his promise to ensure no Nigerian student abandons his or her educational pursuits as a result of lack of money and economic circumstances of their parents.

He also approved the allocation of buses to students’ bodies of all universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across the country to ease the burden of the fuel subsidy removal on students.

Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, Dele Alake in a statement said the action was in furtherance of Tinubu’s desire.

The Presidential spokesman, said the President’s desire is to see that students can access their campuses without experiencing much difficulty as a result of the hike in transportation costs.

Alake equally revealed that Tinubu has directed the authorities in all federal institutions of higher learning to avoid arbitrary increase in sundry fees payable, and where possible defer further increase.

In another news, President Bola Tinubu, has unveiled some of the palliatives worked out by his administration to reduce the pains of the petrol subsidy removal and foreign exchange reform.

He announced the saving of over N1 trillion in the past two months from the petrol subsidy removal.

One of the intervention include the spending of N75billion between now and March 2024 to fund 75 enterprises with great potentials to kick-start a sustainable economic growth.

Tinubu announcing this in a nationwide broadcast as the Organized Labour and the federal government palliative implementation teams were locked in another round of talks at the Presidential Villa, on Monday night.

Another item in the package was a N125 billion credit to 1,300 Nano Business Enterprises in the 774 local government areas, also between now and March 2024.

Also, N100 billion would invested within the eight month period for the acquisition of 3,000 units of CNG powered buses to be shared to major transport firms, who are expected to repay the credit within 60 months at nine per cent interest yearly.

Tinubu also said that N200 billion out of the N500 billion approved by the national assembly would be invested in the cultivation of 150 hectares each of rice and maize, as well as 100,000 hectares each of wheat and cassava.
