The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar, has pleaded with Nigerian leaders and politicians to cut their extravagant life styles to reduce the economic hardships facing the average Nigerians.

He asked the Tinubu administration and other newly elected leaders to come up with policies that would make life of common Nigerians comfortable.

The Sultan in his Sallah message as the President of the Jamatul Nasir Islam, expressed concern over the continuous sharp drop in the living conditions of an average Nigerian due to the high level of inflation.

According to the traditional ruler, an average Nigerians are making painful sacrifices to keep the country going.

In contrast, the Sultan said Nigerian leaders are living in affluence at the expense of malnourished commoners.

The traditional ruler reminds the newly elected leaders of the trust reposed in them by God and humanity who they would account for in the day of judgement.
