Former governor Peter Obi has pulled out of the PDP presidential race for the 2023 poll

He also resigned from the party.

Obi was a running mate to the PDP presidential candidate in the 2019 poll.

He notified the PDP national chairman, Doctor Iyorchia Ayu in a letter dated May 20, 2022

Obi did not state why he is quitting the presidential race and the PDP three days to the party’s presidential primaries.
