Olanipekun says over 70 Percent of Nigerians now Living Poverty Level
A senior lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun, has alerted that the poverty level in Nigeria today is scary and terrifying.
According to the senior advocate, over 70 percent of the people in the country now are rudderless and poverty-stricken.
Olanipekun made the observation at his country home in Ikerre Ekiti, during the twenty-seventh scholarship award scheme of the Wole Olanipekun Foundation.
He explained that the economic situation was fueling tension, distress, unrest, anguish, pains, and confusion, and transferred aggression among the people.
He blamed this on what he called the peculiar and uninspiring economic situation in the country over the years and the burden of insecurity over a decade.

The legal luminary asked Nigerians who have received the benevolence of god to reach out to other Nigerians to reduce the tension in the country.
According to him, the situation in Nigeria is much more challenging, coupled with the burden of insecurity that it has faced for over a decade.
The poverty level in Nigeria today is not just scary but also terrifying, as over 70 percent of Nigerians are rudderless and poverty-stricken, he said.
