FG Blames Govs For Nigeria’s Rising Poverty
Federal Government (FG) has partly blamed the state governors for the rising rate of poverty nationwide.
It accuses the state governors of abandoning the rural areas where more than 70 percent of people reside, and spend state resources on the capital cities.

The Budget and National Planning Minister, Clement Agba, stated this while briefing the State House correspondents at the end of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council at the presidential villa.
According to the minister, the governors are prioritizing the construction of major infrastructure such as bridges and airports in cities rather than improving the lives of the rural poor.
