Ogun State Govt Warns Of Fraudulent Social Media N10,000 Cash Palliatives
Ogun State Government has alerted of a fraudulent message circulating on social media platforms falsely claiming that Governor Dapo Abiodun is offering N10,000 cash palliatives to people across the state.
The scam message also provides a link, urging individuals to apply for the said palliatives, and asking them to share the information for others to benefit.
The state government in a statement signed by the governor’s special adviser on media and communications, Honorable Kayode Akinmade, asked members of the public to ignore the message.
The government categorically disclaimed the messages in their entirety, describing the link as fraudulent and unauthorized.
It warned that any attempt to access and provide personal information through the link poses a significant risk to individuals.

According to the government, authentic government official information regards its intervention program and initiatives, is usually disseminated through official channels, including its website, press releases, and official social media.

The statement went further to say that any information not originating from these official sources should be treated with suspicion and avoided.
The public has therefore been to exercise caution and refrain from sharing such fraudulent messages, adding that the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun remained committed to its avowed mission of making life better for the good people of the state during this trying period and beyond, but this will be done in a manner that will not endanger the people.
